Il trio indie-folk con base a Berlino MIGHTY OAKS composto da Ian Hooper (USA), Claudio Donzelli (Italia) e Craig Saunders (UK) pubblica l'inedito “All Things Go”.



La band, inoltre, annuncia la propria partecipazione come guest al tour europeo dei THE LUMINEERS che farà tappa lunedì 4 novembre in Italia, a Milano, sul palco dell'Alcatraz.
Un fatidico giro in ascensore a Monaco ha fatto avvicinare due anime e le ha portate a vivere una vita insieme. Una vita piena di felicità, sebbene fugace. Nel nuovo singolo della band Ian Hooper racconta la storia dei suoi genitori nella parabola della bellezza e della caducità del momento: “My dad was a broke American graduate student in Munich in the early 80's and he was invited to a dinner party by a stranger he met on the street. Intrigued as to whether this was a date or not, and never one to pass up a free meal, he accepted the invitation. He shared an elevator on his way up to the flat with another guest to the party, and she would become my mother“.
Ciò che avvenne dopo fu una bellissima storia d'amore, due bambini e la morte prematura della madre di Hooper.
Insieme a Craig Saunders e Claudio Donzelli, Hooper riporta in vita la storia di sua madre e di suo padre: “From Multyfarnham / All the way back to Gig Harbor / And I still feel your hands / Holding mine back”, canta Ian sulle note di chitarre acustiche.
“These are towns and places in the US and Ireland that mean a lot to my family and me. Most people will never know these places, but it means the world to me to know that my family will hear these towns immortalized in music.“
“All Things Go” non è semplicemente una tenera canzone che parla di un amore vero, ma anche una riflessione sulla brevità della vita, sulla perdita, sugli addii e, infine, sull'accettazione.
“Death is a recurring theme in our music“, spiega Hooper “this song is about letting go. Sometimes it happens sooner than you'd have liked. That's not unfair, it's how life is. Accepting that takes time, but I'm at a point now where I can accept it as part of being here“.
Con questo inedito i MIGHTY OAKS annunciano il loro terzo album, in uscita nel 2020 via BMG e creano un collegamento tra l'ultimo EP acustico e un nuovo capitolo nella storia del trio; una storia iniziata più di dieci anni fa in un soggiorno berlinese e che li ha portati a incidere due album, a esibirsi in centinaia di concerti in tutto il mondo e a condividere il palco con artisti del calibro di Kings of Leon, The Lumineers e Chvrches.
A novembre i MIGHTY OAKS saranno la band special guest dei THE LUMINEERS e si esibiranno a Milano, il 4 novembre all'Alcatraz.
Per Febbraio 2020, invece, è previsto il loro tour europeo come headliner e in primavera quello in Nord-America.
